Am I Late? (Again!)

Hello, all! First off, we have revival every night this week. I'm running three steps behind on everything (as opposed to my usual two), but I didn't want to miss the start of this Christmas Crunch.

Secondly, my scanner is broken and I just changed computers so I don't have any pictures to upload. I will as soon as I can fix the problem, I promise.

My name is Jill. I am a pastor's wife, homeschooling mother of six, part time secretary and part time writer. I am forty-three, a borderline diabetic, and someone who never worried about weight until she got married and had kids. Seriously, my nickname in high school and college was Olive Oyl. Yes, because I was skinny, but also because I lacked a little in the grace department. But anyway, I went from being a size 5 twenty-five years ago to being a size 22. I can't bring myself to actually post my weight, but suffice it to say that I have a lot more to lose than I can do in the next two months. HOWEVER, this is a great way to start, I think.

If you've ever read my blog, you know that I've been exercising for the last two weeks. I found a partner, or trainer if you will. She's holding me accountable and making sure I do some sort of exercise every day. I'm looking forward to further accountability and encouragement from you all!

I'm encouraged by the posts and pictures I've read so far. I know this is something I have to do for myself and for my family, and I think with help from God and all of you I can actually accomplish this.

My main problem is that I've always used food as both a source of comfort and a reward. I'm trying to look at exercise as a stress relief, and sometimes it is, but I'm still working past the incredible soreness so it's not all that much of a comfort yet. Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and working this journey together.

No Jill, you made it before many did as you can see. I hope that you are doing well today.

Hope you can find the encouragement you are looking for through the Christmas crunch Challenge!

Crunching it with you,
Dani Joy

Hi Jill,

No matter how much we have to lose, whether we're two sizes too large or 6 sizes, we all want the same thing...health, and that means maintaining a good weight. You are on the right track with your exercise and trainer...and being part of this group will keep you encouraged. We're all praying for each other, and helping by sharing our own struggles. You will find some answers even as your write your blogs...the inner desires that God has placed in your heart will come forth, and you'll find that strength you need. I'm crunching with you...we all are...so let's crunch and do this!

God bless,
Mary
