REMEMBERing What You Want!

Do you remember why you joined the
CHRISTMAS CRUNCH CHALLENGE?
I am getting my post ready hours before my usual time. That means I am getting a bit of a routine going. Interesting that I am improving in exercise and water and now the food is starting to attack me! Will I ever get all three moving forward at the same time? On the eve of our first week completed, I am encouraged because I AM moving forward little by little. We have seven weeks ahead of us and beyond that, all the days the Lord allows us to serve Him here on earth. I am going to take a deep breath, shore up my plans for my program, and remember one of my special tips:

Discipline is remembering what you want.
I’ll be praying for all of us to want to glorify God in all that we do…
1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

GREAT POST! Love it, and you are right...to the glory of our Mighty God! Coincidentally, I was just looking through my book "The Celebration of Discipline", and thinking that our crunch challenge is a matter of discipline, both spiritually and phyisically.

Love the red and green print you used, too!

Happy crunchin'!

Hi again, Anita, what brand of rebounder do you have, and do you use the video that you posted? You mentioned bouncing to the oldies...do you just bounce to music, without the other movements?

Hey Mary..this is loooonnnggg

Good morning Mary,
First..I am not sure where you live…are you close to a gym that has jumpers? Go in and ask their advice and ask to try one out for several minutes. A good one will be over $200. Check out e-bay if you use that method of shopping.
1. My rebounders (I have one in the states for when I go home on furlough) I purchased from Hallelujah Acres. Have you heard of them? No name brand on mine.
2. I was surfing the net and now there are several great models from other places. Just Google rebounders and there should be a YouTube site that talks about them.
3. Bellicon, a Swiss/German company on the rebounder market who calls itself the "Porsche of Rebounders", uses bungee cords in conjunction with double-coil springs on its various models that range in the $500 - $600 neighborhood.
4. How mobile is your daughter? These are great for kids or people that can’t get out much. As a teacher, I would tell every home school family to have one. It is great for the kids to concentrate for no more than an hour and then jump for 3-5 minutes to get the blood going again. Still trying to get my dh to apply this idea when he works on his sermons.
5. Basically, I just jump to whatever music I like. (Christmas the other day) and do my own thing. My fav CDs are hooked on classics. They have a disco beat in the background that keeps you moving. (This one is just for you and me…I have Perry Como and his CDs are fun…Papa loves Mambo etc.) Yes, the oldies are also great. I am sure the tapes would be helpful but I never bought one. The one on the video was one I looked for on the net to help demo the rebounder for me. She did great!
6. I tried weights but they hurt my joints too much. Some people use the huge rubber band plan. I was following a book.
7. You will find that without a jumping routine planned you will soon create your own! Up and Down soon turns to side to side turns to waist twist and turns to marching etc. Your body will soon be leading you to try new moves. That lady had some moves I never thought to do and now I am going to try them. So maybe a video routine would be good! In addition, I use the bouncer to do almost all my floor exercises, especially sit-ups.

This sight has some good advice but there is tons of info on the net.
9.My email is albeiles@gmail.com so drop a line. Hope this hasn’t been too long and has been helpful. Prying for you!
