Hi, I'm Kathryn Carlisle from Rota, Spain.  My family and I moved here 16 1/2 years ago.  I have 4 daughters, two of which are in college in Arizona.  My husband, Larry, and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in Dec. 2009.  I just celebrated my 50th birthday last week.  I use the Wii Fit Plus for my exercise program.  I started with the Wii Fit in Dec. 2008 and switched to the Plus last month.  I was working out about 30 minutes 4-6 days a week, but now I'm trying to increase that to 40+ minutes 6 times a week.  I really haven't changed my eating habits much.  I'm not a snacker, but I love to eat at meal times.  I've lost 2 kilos in one year.  I was hoping for more, but I shouldn't complain because I really haven't cut back on eating.  I have a fear of dieting because my Mom would go on diets when I was young.  She'd do great and than gain all the weight back after she ended her diet.  That seems to make me never want to diet.  My goal is to lose 11 1/2  more kilos which might take me years to achieve at this rate,  but I'm willing to work hard and long for that to happen.   Thanks for letting me join you all!  :-)

Hi Kathy,
Welcome aboard!!! So glad to have you join our group. You have a plan and that is good. Diets come and go, but good habits of exercise and healthy eating can make a lifetime of difference, so you are on the right track. Look forward to "springing" with you!
Love,
Joy

Kathy, you don´t seem to have a ticker. Might want to check with Dani, because the ticker is fun and motivating too!

Thanks Joy for mentioning the ticker. I will get it up right away.

So glad you made it Kathryn! I hope that we will all be a great encouragement to you.

I totally understand what you are saying about diets and I refuse to call it a diet. That´s why I call it my fitness journey for life. I have changed the way I think about eating and my habits. I don´t want to pack on the wieght in my mid life so I need to take care now.
Change little by little adding better choices and you will see change.

Another way to really make change happen is change up your workouts and sweat. Sweating burns calories like none other! Cardio!

With the Lord´s strength we can do this!

Springing with ya,
Dani Joy
