Crunchin, instead of Munchin !

We are nearing the end of the first week of this challenge, and for me it has been a week of making changes in my routine. I got back to doing my Wii Fit Plus and added the Weight Watchers Walking DVD. I am not really physically at a point of running or jogging, but hope to work up to it. My 20 minutes a day has turned into 30, then 40, then 60. I find I have more energy. I haven't eaten any goldfish or jelly beans for over a week, though I had a couple of marshmallows tonight. I am still working on cutting out the extra calories that I don't need but I have cut back quite a bit. You have all been my accountability this week, and for that I am grateful. Last night in our church service, we had an 80 year old bass singer give a mini concert. Even at his age, he had so much energy and his voice was incredible. Sometimes I think that being 55 is the end of the road and I should slow down, especially in my ministry. Last night, I was challenged to continue serving the Lord and taking care of my body and my spirit. I am looking forward to the weekly measuring to see if there is any change. Even if there isn't change in the numbers, I am happy that there has been change in my outlook on life and my physical well-being. Thank you ladies!

Good for you! And I saw those marshmallows on your facebook page! I wouldn't be able to resist either.
I need to get back on the wiifit plus. The board has batteries now so I have no excuse.
Tim was working hard on it this morning and I know my balance and posture need the workout. What things are you doing? Maybe we can challenge each other again with our scores in basketball or hula hoops etc.

I got out the Wii Fit Plus a week ago, and started with my normal routine of a few things in each category. The other night I decided to to the Island Cycling advanced level. I didn't know what i was getting into - you have to find 22 flags while "pedaling" around the island. I could only fine 20 and when I finally gave up, I had pedaled over 3 miles for more than 15 minutes. It was a good distraction for doing some leg exercise. You should try it. Also, the advanced step under aerobics, the advanced rhythm boxing (which is confusing the first few times you do it). I am not doing well at hula hoop, but keep trying. I think I got 26 in BB the other night to beat my niece who was my high score on my menu. What is your high? I love the idea, so let me know what categories are good and we can have a contest. BTW, I did not eat one of the s'mores, just a couple marshmallows while I was making them . . . have a great day. Glad you invited me to the challenge!

Hi Cindy,
I use the Wii Fit plus too. I do my routine of exercises and then jogging. I know what you mean about the cycling. I tried to find the flags on the advanced level last spring and peddled for an hour when the machine told me my time was up. My husband did find all the flags, so I might be able to find them now.
Working up little at a time is a good idea. I'm trying to add a little more each week to my workout.
Keep it up!

Kathryn :-)

Great job, Cindy.
I see that we are paired together in a group, so I just wanted to let you know that I'm cheering you on and praying for you. I can't wait to hear how much weight you've lost this first week.
