Measurements 10/12/10

Up against the firing wall!

Weight: 202lbs
Upper Arm: 14
Bust: 48
Waist: 40
Hip: 45.5
Thigh: 22.5

The good news is that I have been able to walk 2 miles each day this week using the Walk Away the Pounds DVD's and even played a little backyard Cricket with friends and family one afternoon. The diet has been going well, cutting out all snacks and lowering my carb intake quite a bit.

I leave for a youth camp next week and although it will give me plenty of opportunity to exercise, the food choices will not be that great! Anyone  have any tips for me about that?  I plan to take fruit and maybe some canned tuna . We do not have a lot of options here in Paraguay but I want to try!

I am thankful for a good start on the CRUNCH!

Hi,

Going to youth camp, sounds like fun. I guess I would just concentrate and getting the exercise and just observe portion control. I remember when I went to youth camp, the calories I burned was way more than I consumed. Have a great time.

I like peanut butter. It's protein and portable!

HI Rita,

I went to camp this past Summer and walked/ran in the mornings. Also for food I just cut out all the carbs. no breads, no rice ect. eat all the veggies and fruit they serve. If you feel you are a little weak then have some only at lunch time. Mornings try to do fruit and yogurts. ect. It worked. I actually lost weight at camp. ;)
Stay very busy. LOL

Stay away from the Bolleria. I know it´s hard. I just didn´t even open one. Bring sugar free or no sugar added chocolate and raisins or some treat you like. Nuts, the best are almonds (no salt) They keep your energy levels up.

You prob. know all this, but just putting it out there. This is what worked for me.

I liked Sherry´s comment about PB. If you can get the sf kind it´s even better. Also cheese. ;)

Ohh and if you have fiber issues, prunes are very portable. lol

Have a great trip and don´t for get to crunch it when you can and keep track of your points, just add them when you get back.

Big hugs
Dani Joy

Rita,

It's springtime for you in Paraguay, right? Make sure you get lots of water. Stay away from the sodas (pop). This might help you not feel as hungry. I also like the idea of nuts, fruits, and veggies. Hope you have a wonderful camp week! :-)

Thanks for the tips! Yes, this is Spring down here in the Southern Cone so this camp is a Spring break for Sr High teens.

You can borrow our cooler if you need to! Pack it full of fruits, and veggies. Maybe the Stock here would have dried fruits?
