Kombucha Tea

I have been brewing Kombucha tea for several months now. At first it wasn't something I looked forward to doing. Now, I love my kombucha tea. It doesn't taste the same everytime. The taste depends on how long the tea is brewed and the temperature. Now that it is getting colder I brew mine longer.

I've notice that I have more energy and that it is balancing out my digestive tract. I don't feel as bloated.

Here is a video on how to make kombucha tea. I do not add anything extra to mine. I like the taste of the plain kombucha tea. It is very inexpensive to brew. Just water, tea, sugar and the SCOBY. The sugar is eaten up in the brewing process so there's not much sugar left when it is ready to drink. I also use a coffee filter to cover it up and secure it with a rubber band. The only thing to watch for is Mold. From what I understand, getting mold in kombucha is not common with good hygiene. But if you do, it will look like white, gray, or black fuzzy mold. Just like on cheese. It is normal for it to have some dark stringy looking things on it.

I've enjoyed mine, I hope you will too.

I liked how it felt afterward. It feels cleansing! I really wish I could be where I could make it. Maybe I will just buy some. :)
