New beginnings

It's a new month and a new week and I am glad to say I got started off on a good footing with an hour of exercise this morning. I traded my extra point for some delicious mashed potatoes with my dinner today but ate FAR LESS than I would normally eat of those fluffy white wonders. (my husband makes the most awesome taters --- and I'm sorry but there is nothing you can do to cauliflower to even come close!) I pulled out the Thanksgiving decorations and started transforming the hutch in my dining room for Autumn. I love this time of year, even though we don't have the beautiful colors with the change of seasons like I used to have in New England. I have to say I would be having a harder time getting out and exercising if I were dealing with colder weather. My hat is off to you, Cindy and Amy and the rest of you who are dealing with weather issues. Today I did my run through the park and I sweated quite a bit more than normal. I had dressed in a longsleeved mock turtle neck and a windbreaker. Once I got outside the sun was shining and I bet I could've done the work out in just a SS t-shirt and pants.

Here is the link to the whole wheat waffle recipe my hubby found and tried out the other day. It was good -- didn't really notice the difference between whole wheat flour and the white stuff. I look forward to seeing if there is any noticeable difference in my pizza dough recipe.

I haven't measured since the beginning of the challenge but I plan to this Wednesday. Today's weight was back down even after quite a few poor choices food-wise yesterday. Dani was probably right that the salty popcorn was causing me to retain water. Going to go finish my last water bottle for today. Keep up the good work, Ladies! And don't stop drinking your daily water just because the bonus points stop.

Hey, Alice! Great job on the running and the exercise on this new month! I am excited to start anew too. I have had too much travel and too many carbs. uhhhgg! My body is starting to feel it.

I like your encouragement about the water. We really need it! I also want to mention that drinking all that water and having too much sodium adds the weight on. I have to be more careful. uhhg

Those whole wheat waffles sound good, too.
