Still alive and kicking

Hello everyone,

I have been exercising, but haven't been very good at keeping track of points at all. Various things have kept me from bring able to post, from computer and internet problems, to dealing with the death of a family pet earlier this week. My husband has been gone to the States since November 30. He took the notebook with him, and my posting record chart is on that computer. Even still, I have been exercising. About a week before Thanksgiving, my daughter, Ashley, and I started going Jillian's 30 Day Shred. About a week into it, my husband left, and I had to take on the outside chores. These include feeding the dogs and clearing snow. Since he has left, we have had snow almost every day, which has taken me about 1-1 1/2 hours each time to shovel. All 3 of the kids have been helping, otherwise it would probably take me twice that long. Because the snow shoveling takes so much time and energy, I havn't been able to also do the Shred, but I know I am still getting a good workout. It is really good for your core. I also took a 1 mile brisk walk 4 different days while attempting to pay our power bill. Each time I went the computer there was broken, so I had to keep returning.

I ended up having about 3 days off of exercise, as we had some very cold weather, -40 F for about 4 days. It was just so very cold, even in our house, that I didn't exercise. I know, I should have just exercised anyway, but I was also very busy, as one of our dogs got very sick and ended up dying. Her last few days, I spent lots of time with her trying to comfort and care for her and our kids.

My weight had been staying right on 118 for most of this challenge, but in the last couple of weeks, I have been losing some weight. My weight is currently at 114. Now, I am not sure if this is totally good or not. I haven't been using my weights since doing all the snow shoveling, so I am not sure if I am losing muscle, or if the snow has been enough to keep that up. Honestly, the snow shovel with snow is much heavier than my weights. Maybe I am just finally breaking that last threshhold that is so hard to lose the last 5 pounds to your goal.

I haven't measured in a while, so I will need to do that soon.

I'm sorry for the death of your pet.
Congratulations on keeping up with your exercising and breaking that last threshhold into the last 5 lbs!

Oh I am so glad you have been able to keep exercising.
Sorry. About your doggy dying. That's always hard and then to top it off our hubby's is gone.

Even though we may not have gotten to our goals, I think the greatest goal met is maintaining what we got off!
