Portebella Mushroom Burger

My son and I really love this recipe. It's packed with nutrition and very low in calories and is filling.

Large Portebella Mushrooms
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
lettuce
tomato
onion
or whatever other vegetables you like on you sandwich.

Wash Mushrooms and pat dry. Brush with olive oil on both sides of mushrooms. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Place on hot grill for just a few minutes on each side. Place on bread of your choice, I like multigrain bread, you could use the flat breads. Then top with the vegetables. That's it. Very quick and easy.

Portebella Mushrooms are:
Low in Sodium, and very low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Protein, Thiamin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Magnesium, Zinc and Manganese, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Phosphorus, Potassium, Copper and Selenium.

You need to try this recipe it really is delicious. The mushrooms have a meaty texture when cooked.

I love mushrooms!! can´t wait to try this one! I don´t know if I can find them or not but I think I have seen them.

We can print out all these recipes at the end and make a book. wouldn´t that be a fun gift! Let´s try to do that, Charlie.

Dani,

Sounds great! I will try to post a recipe a week too. This way we can build a collection.
