Saturday morning temptation

Good Saturday morning!

My husband joint this faculty-kid group and decided to make coffee kucken, an old dining common recipe. I encouraged him to make it with whole wheat flour and brown sugar to make up for the calories. As you can see, Charlie, we don't get to eat beans for breakfast. We tried that breakfast when we went to London for a couple of days, but our household is a cereal haven. Saturdays and Sundays we make pancakes, and other fun healthy breakfasts. I enjoy toast, cheese, fruit and coffee. Last night everyone had homemade hamburgers, and I grilled zucchini, mushrooms, and onions. Whoever wanted to garnish his hamburger did, and I ate the rest with a tinny hamburger on a half of a pita bread.
I hope to exercise today. This week I have not felt great, but I know that getting out and running may help my energy level. I love Donna B.'s post about hiking; see if my family wants to do something like that today.

Have a great weekend!

Maribel,

I'm so happy that you found a breakfast that works for your family. It sounds yummy too. Don't get me wrong, I love cereal too, but I have to have some protein with it. I will sometimes eat cereal as a snack, with skim milk of course. We also love pancakes. I make whole grain pancakes then will top it off with a couple of eggs and just a touch of agave. I guess by now you figured out that I love eggs. Yep, gotta have them eggs. LOL!!!

It's nice that your husband can cook too.

Let's keep motivating each other to keep springing.

So, did you go hiking?! I LOVED it! A good workout but FUN the whole way and a beautiful view at the top! Breakfasts were rough for me, too, but I've finally settled into a rut that works! Either granola or smoothies!

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I ate what David made. It was good. But did not eat any all day long. Breakfast is great! You can eat whatever you want and you get to burn it :)

I did not go on a hike, but I went running, and shopping with the family (we walked and shopped around town.

It was a good day.
