daily devotionals to help you with your cravings

I have the kindle app on my laptop and on my ipod touch. This allows me to read ebooks that I download from amazon.com's kindle store. Recently I found out about a facebook page (Pixel of Ink) that lets me know about books that are free to download. Many of these are free for just a day or a week before reverting to their full price. I have downloaded a ton of free books over the weekend -- I am building a library of stuff to read while we are travelling. Nice to have so many books but no extra weight in the luggage. One of the freebies was Craving God, a 21 day devotional challenge to accompany the book Made to Crave. So even if you don't win first prize in this challenge, you can still get some well written devotional challenges. If you don't have the kindle app and don't want to download it to your computer (it is free, though) you can go to Lysa's website and sign up for these 21 devotionals to be sent directly to your email address.

Here's a pointed question from today's reading ... day 1 "Chocolate is my comfort and deliverer"
Is it possible we love and rely on food more than we love and rely on God? OUCH! (my response)
We have to see the purpose of our struggle with food as something more than getting to wear smaller sizes and receiving compliments. Shallow desires produce shallow efforts. DOUBLE OUCH! (my response again)

Sounds like I am going to get my toes stepped on a few times in reading these devotionals. But I think I'll just put my steel-toed boots on and keep reading. Anyone care to join me?

Thanks for the tip on the free books. I downloaded a few. The Made to Crave book wasn't available anymore, but I got a few good ones.
