Last week's post

Hi! I still haven't posted from this past week, but it's been one of those busy fast going weeks. I did measure partially, so I will post the achievements (-6.5 cm total loss) It must have been my no bread days plus the running I'm doing! I wish I were more faithful, but I only get to run some days a week. It feels great after the first couple of kilometers! My weight was 56.4, so the same as my lowest this time around. Not sure if it will go down ever, since I take my "liberties" and compensate with exercise.

Left thigh 51.5 (-1.5)
Right thigh 52 (-2)
Hips 95 (-1)
Waist 71 (-2)

Saturday was Father's Day here in Spain. We had a great time. We had a brunch made out of WHOLE WHEAT bacon and cheese biscuits, a mixture ofpotatoes, eggs, bacon and VEGETABLE stir, and some DARK CHOCOLATE pastries. It was Father's Day! Then we went to Terra Natura (a zoo) for the morning and walked up and down the world seeing different animals. We did not sit for any shows. Then we drove to my sister's and had coffee and well, other things to go with it ;)
In the evening I tried to compensate with level three of the Shred and walking to the store with my husband (he takes huge steps, so I get out of breath and happy). But he went and chose some supper the kids would like cheese and bacon on pastry dough. I used fat free sour cream, and accompanied it with carrots. I avoided the chips (not hard, since I don't care for those).

This was a fun day, but I don't believe I lost any weight or cm. I remind myself that building memories with my family is very important as well!

Have a great week!

I haven't seen weight loss in the last couple of weeks either. I have seen inches lost though. So I'm thinking that I am probably still building muscle with all the exercise I'm doing. The difference in my legs, arms and (noticeable only to me lol) my waistline is amazing. So I am happy with that. At first it was very discouraging, but I soon realized that inches lost is very important too. I feel so much stronger which is also important. I may never be 135 again as long as I'm healthy I'm happy.

Family memories are definitely important. We should never count those days of time with family as losses even though we may not stay true to our diets during those times. It's not going to throw us completely off and we should never feel guilty about those times. We just have to remember to get back in a routine when we can.

Remember we are working at being fit in order to serve God and our families better. Because I am stronger I am able to show more energy to the kids when I teach Pioneer Clubs at church and I am also able to do things with my son, that I wouldn't be able to do if I wasn't fit.

Oopps. I guess I went on too long. Sorry.

I guess I'm just trying to say, Way to go with spending special time with family.

Keep springing.

ha ha ha ... I loved the way you snuck your confessions in there in teeny tiny font. Makes me think of when i was a teen trying to stretch the truth to my parents. Mom: What time did you get in from your date last night?
Me: Oh around 12 .......ish (meaning I got in at about 12:50AM)

That´s why we exercise too so that we can have some fun things to eat and fun times!

What a fun Father´s day! Awesome! We had missionaries here with us. The Andrews. So, I ate probaly more and exercised less. ;) Praying it will all even out as I started right back into it today. It´s the long term life time goal that´s important!

I had to giggle that you get happy that David takes big strides. Too cute. I walk faster than Joseph now. It is so ironic.

Abrazos! Nos vemos pronto! no puedo esperar!

It is a bit discouraging to not have any weight loss, but when the inches are coming off, that is definitely progress, too! I am having to constantly remind myself not to beat myself up over those times that I "give in" or don't follow the "diet" exactly. It is all about freedom in Christ, right? Not bondage to food or exercise or diet!

It sounds like you had a very fun family day. That is great to do things as a family. Our kids remember what seem like little things to us.

I'm not seeing any change on the measurements, but I do think I am getting into better shape with an increase in stamina, etc.

Sorry, I meant to sign my name, Tami.

That's funny, Dani Joy, that you walk faster than Joseph now. I don't know if I'll ever walk faster than Steve. He is a foot taller than I am, and he has such a long stride. Our youngest, Melissa, has to almost jog just to keep up with his walking. :-)

Wow, Maribel, I understand about those "liberties." I tend to rationalize and say well, I excercised an hour today, so I can afford to have just a little ...." Bad rationalization, and probably the reason I don#t see as many results on the scale. :)

Yeah, rationalization!! Junglewife and Vicky. . . I do that often!
After all, I have to remind myself that 15 years from now, my kids will probably be out of the house. My goal is to stay healthy, good looking as I can for my husband and still not leave my kids with the impression that their mother ate "strange" things and was always watching her diet--we need a balance. I told David that when the kids move out, we can go to eating veggies only ;) Until then, pizza, pancakes, pasta, pan . . . they are staples. I just make them as healthy as I can , and then I exercise ;)

Thanks ladies for all the comments!

I can just see you, Maribel and you hubby justeatng veggies. Lol.I don't think that's the changes I will make. When the boys are gone but I prob. Will cook less.

Sarah, the devotional Made to Crave is talking about just that. Freedom in Christ and not bondage to food, but also to go to Him instead of the bad choices. I needed to read that this week for sure.

Tami, yeah, I am sure it is hard to keep up with your hubby when he is so tal, but I bet you get great exercise. Jeje

Great interaction on this post. Love it.
