Sarah D Journal - End of Week 4

Okay, done with week #4 - almost halfway through this challenge! So far I have not been blown away by my results but I am happy nonetheless!

I weighed and measured myself this morning, and was SO happy to see the scale down another 2 pounds! That makes 4 total for this challenge which is the lowest it's been since I have been back from furlough! Let's continue the downward trend!!! As far as my measurements go, nothing too exciting but still 1.5 inches overall.

I was able to keep up with drinking at least 64 oz of water every day for the bonus points this last week. In fact, most days I got 80 oz since the bottle I was using was 20 oz and I filled it up 4 times during the day. So that makes me happy. I think just having the bottle filled and keeping it near me is a reminder to drink water. If I don't have my water bottle, I won't remember to drink water!

I was able to get 40 minutes of exercise 5 days during this week for the bonus points, unfortunately I was not ever able to get an hour in.

I am still doing well with my "no desserts" rule. Some days are more of a struggle than others. Yesterday was my "free" day for the week as it was my daughter's 3rd birthday so I made ice cream and cupcakes. But still I only ate one angel food cupcake and a small cup of ice cream (probably only 1/4 cup of ice cream). So, not too bad! I think seeing the scale drop helps me to have the discipline NOT to eat those sweets! But now I have all the leftover cupcakes in my house which increases the temptation. I will just have to feed them to the neighbor kids :-)

Here's to another week of springing into shape, ladies!

Did you manage to resist the cupcakes and get them fed to the neighbors or were they too much temptation? Hope you managed to be successful. Keep up the great work.
