Week 4 Update/Prayer Request

Well, this week has been crazy busy for me, and I haven't had time to read the blog, let alone post!  I did lose 3lbs this week, and I managed to get in 60 minutes of exercise almost everyday, and the 64 oz of water is definitely an easy thing for me!  So, I guess it was a high point week--even w/o posting!
The Lord has opened up so many doors as a result of my fitness journey.  Please pray for me specifically as I minister to my co-worker, Milette.  She is a very crass and vulgar (in speech) person who needs the Lord.  She is obese (starting, I'm guessing above where I started), and has dubbed me her trainer!  In the past I have avoided her like the plague b/c of her language and attitude, but this has forced me to open up to her.  She requested to be invited to my blog, and as a result has definitely been exposed to the Gospel.  As a result, she has adjusted her speech around me--Praise the Lord!  I am meeting her about 3 times a week to exercise with her for about an hour or so.  Of course, for me it isn't very strenuous, so I have to come home and do my own exercise which has really cramped me time-wise.  However, I believe that this is something that the Lord assigned as my ministry and my "burden" at this time.  I am thankful to Him that He has given me this opportunity and look forward to what He is going to do in the future.

What an opportunity! That's great :o)

This crass and vulgar speach etc is just a way of her putting up a wall of protection but it's obvious she enjoys your gentleness.

We will be praying for you and her.

Keep up the good work.

So thankful you have this opportunity, Donna. I will be praying for you. Especially that she will refrain her speech more so that you don't have to hear that. :)

You probably never thought in your wildest dreams that exercising would open a door to witness for the Lord. What an opportunity you have been given, just for her to want to read your blog and spend time exercising with you. God will reward that, and give you the extra time you need to get in a good workout. We will pray for her salvation.

Wow, that's great! Congratulations on the progress - losing inches AND pounds is so encouraging.

That's great about your co-worker, too - that you can be a witness to her through your weight-loss inspiration! Good for you for recognizing that opportunity from the Lord and acting on it!
