CCC3- Introduction

Hello Ladies! My name is Sarah and I am 33 yrs old. My husband Kevin and I have been serving in Botswana Africa as full time missionaries for almost 8 years. I have two cute kids....Andrew (4yrs) and Piper (2yrs).....they had such joy and fullness to our lives.

This is my first time doing one of these challenges and honestly when I got Dani Joy's email it was such perfect timing. I am not sure how I missed out on the notices for the other challenges, but I just know my heart did a little dance when I read about this one! The Lord has really been taking me on a journey this year regarding my issues with food. Through the book and bible study Made to Crave, He is starting to break a lot of strong holds that held me down. I feel like I am now really ready to take on a challenge like this and loved that I would have the accountability and encouragement from other christian women like you. My prayer is that the Lord will use each of us to touch each others lives in some way through this. I am excited to get to know each of you.

I'll be excited to loose any weight or inches, but really I want to just develop good habits of eating and exercise during the holiday season. I think this challenge will help be do so but again also have other ladies who are in the same boat helping each other along! Thanks Dani Joy for doing these and I look forward to seeing how things will end up in 10 weeks! Blessings....Sarah W

Sarah! So glad to see you here! It was such an answer to prayer for me, too, when I got Dani Joy's invitation for the Spring challenge. I was desperate to lose some weight and get into a healthier lifestyle after returning from furlough about 5 months previous. I have been so blessed by this group of ladies and the challenges have been, well.... challenging! In a good way! I hope we can all encourage each other as we get started in this challenge!

OH, I read the devotional for the book Made to Crave. I wanted to get the book but haven´t yet. I think I have been emotionally eating lately too, falling back into my bad habits. Please share with us any wisdom you gained from your Bible study Made to Crave. I know it will be a blessing.

Crunchin´ it with ya,
Dani Joy

Oh Dani Joy....probably a lot of my posts will be regarding what I have learned this year. It's good for me to get them down to remind me too! Def get the book....so good. I've read it three times and still glean things from it each time. I found out today that Lysa is actually adding some additional material for next year and I am eager to see what that is too!

Barbra....where were you based? We are in Maun and have been here for almost 8 years! The world is truly small isn't it? :)
