Update from Theresa

At the beginning, I thought this would be easy since I already walk every day, but I don’t drink a whole lot of water in a day, in coffee yes, but not by itself. Sticking to the water has been a challenge. But this week I battled with the water, the exercise… it’s been one of those battle weeks. I thought with it being so incredibly hot in Botswana (especially this week) that I would automatically drink more water, but I don’t. But I’m not drinking as much coffee, so that’s good. Thankfully I’ve only missed one day of walking, but since Cleo (one of the mission dogs) join me on my walks, it is more exciting, the music on my MP3 player also helps, since I never know what song will be next. There aren’t many places to walk on the mission, so I do the same track, but I vary the direction I walk. I must admit that Kathy H. inspired me to take my camera along. The sunrises here are so awesome and so is the bird life early in the morning. I always wonder why people sleep in, they miss so much in seeing the earth wake-up. I thought about doing some exercises in the house, but I don’t think my housemates would appreciate my doing jumping jacks at 6am. (We have creaky, wooden floors) I haven’t scored any points with the sleep, even though I am in bed by 9pm. I love reading more than sleep and will stay awake all night to finish a book. I’m thankful that every day is a new day and I can try again. But right now, I’m going to see if I can finish that first liter of water I’ve been battling with since this morning.

Hugs Theresa! :) Soon you'll be able to do jumping jacks in your own place with no creaky wooden floor! :)

So with you on the reading, infact I struggle to sleep unless I read first.

Please do start taking your camera, I'd love to see photos, even the things you might find boring would be interested to us Europeans :o)

So glad to see you posting on the blog! thanks for the update.

I am a night owl too. Thus, the need to push myself to get into bed. It has been proven that less than 7 hours is not productive in weight loss and more than 10 is detrimental as well.

me too! I want to see more pictures.

Blessings and Crunchings,
Dani Joy
