Sarah D Week 3 journal

So, weighed myself this morning... and even after a week of no sugar I am UP a pound! So, I am back to my starting weight :-( That is no fun! BUT, I measured and I am down 4.5 inches, so that is good!

I find that it takes my body a while to show results, so hopefully the results from this "no sugar" week will show in a week or two!

I tried to "step it up" a bit with the exercise this week... I went back to the 30 day Shred after not doing it for a while. Oh my word, I was sore! But, I ran/walked the next day, and then did the Shred again today. I am going to try to mix it up with some different videos and hopefully my body will start showing some results :-)

Keep up the good work, ladies!

I totally hear you. I just weighed in with no loss again this week either, but I didn't gain so it seems like I am maintaining weight wise. I am loosing a lot of inches though....so far almost 13 total....most in my thighs and hips so that is great! It's sometimes hard to keep going when you're not seeing the progress but it sounds like you have a great game plan and are pressing through. I have to remind myself of that a lot....just keep going, just keep going. :) ha! As for Jillian....I am on day 6.....I did the whole thing today....phase one, without feeling like I was going to die. I was SO proud of myself. I kept up! I was amazed at how after 6 days I had really built up an endurance! But yes...those first days were brutal! :) Hugs!!! I am heading out for a few days and won't be able to exercise like that so I am hoping I don't hurt when I return back into it! :)

Way to go on the Shred! It will work ya! ;) Keep on!! I dare ya! jeje

I know the frustrations of fluctuating scales. I keep going back and forth. I thought I was going down but then I had a hicup. I think I pinpointed it though and will work on fixing the problem this week.

Thanks for your comments, ladies. It is hard to plateau and not see any progress. I have to remind myself that it does take some time to see progress. Of course, I can maintain a weight for a long time and not gain, either. I think my body just likes to stay at the same weight - so when I gained with my pregnancies, it stays on! When we went on furlough, I wasn't super careful what I ate, and it took me several months before I saw any weight gain. So it would make sense that it would take a while to see loss, too.

Keep up the Shred, Sarah! It had been a while since I had done it, and I was sore afterwards, and it IS hard, but I could tell that my other exercise had been paying off, because I could definitely make it through without feeling like I was dying! Level 1, anyway! Right now I am alternating Shred days with run/walk days. So we'll see how that goes. :-)
