Cleanses safe while nursing?

Hi Ladies -
I am not sure if anyone is reading this before the 4th, but I am wondering if there are any safe cleanses to do while nursing. Baby Anna is 5 1/2 mos old and nursing exclusively, so anything I do need to be viewed from that aspect.
Not sure if a cleanse would be best or just radically changing the way I eat.

My thought...cleansing brings out toxins and toxins can flush out through out your milk. I may be wrong, but I'd choose to flush later, and just eat cleaner. You can always google it to see about more help.

I agree with Karen. I would wait. just eat lots of fruits and veggies. well, stay away from the gassy ones. lol. but you can do this without cleansing. eating fruits will naturally cleanse you out. try high fiber ones. lots of salads. I am with you on this.

I also agree with Karen and Dani. Praise the Lord that you are nursing your baby and giving your baby the absolute best nutrition available! You are to be congratulated. You really need to be drinking lots of water (2-4 qts/day) which will cleanse without hurting your baby. Cut out sweets, Pasta, junk food, grains if possible. Eat lots of veggies and fruits as well as good Chicken, fish and beef. Raw milk would be good if it is available. You can also try the Liver Cleansing diet witch is safe. Or just use a mix from that diet. LSA for linseed (flaxseed) 3C, Sunflower seed 2 C and almonds 1 cup. Mix these together and then grind them in a food prosessor or coffee mill. You can sprinkle thise on salads, cooked veggies, and other foods. They provide protein and fiber as well as nutrients. Be careful not to take any diet pills or anything that might harm your baby. The weight should come off with eating well and walking. I will pray for you!
