Absent from the Body

"Willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

2Corinthians 5:1-10 speaks of when we will be with the Lord Jesus in heaven. Those of us who know Jesus as our Savior have this hope, that we will be given new bodies there one glorious day. And if these earthly bodies (tabernacles) we have now dissolve or fall apart, we have the promise of perfect glorified bodies ( a building of God).  AMEN!

But, in the mean time,

"Wherefore we labour, that whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. (Jesus)
For  we must all apperar before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his (her) body according to that he (she) hath done, whether it be good or bad."
2 Corinthians 5:9-10

What does this mean to me?

This means that I am going to take care of my body now for God´s glory. What I eat, what I do, and what I say.

This was my husband´s message tonight. I don´t think he was thinking about the Christmas Crunch when he prepared it, but it fits for every part of our lives. May we be found faithful in every area.
