This weight must go!

Hi Everyone! My name is Beth. I am a very happy wife of almost 20 years and the Mommy to my little 4 year old daughter.

I have struggled with my weight since I married. Seriously, I began to cook then POOF -- fat. The years flew by and before I knew it -- I looked like THIS. (I can't stand to even look at this picture!)

Isn't it funny how we can still imagine ourselves as we were when we were young? It wasn't until I saw this picture that I realized just how out of control things really were. In June of 2008, I decided I needed to do something -- make a lifestyle change. I cut out white flour, soft drinks, preprocessed foods, junk food, unhealthy oils, soft drinks, etc ...

Around 60 pounds later, here I am today.

Truth is, I am still way overweight and I've been on hold for almost a year. I really need to get moving again. I'm hoping this will spur me and get me back on track. (Chocolate is my foe that woos me like a siren.)

I look forward to shrinking with you women. I haven't weighed in a couple of months and I'm terrified to find out how much I weigh. I am not thrilled to weigh or measure! I'm trying not to hyperventilate. Sigh.

Hi Beth! I joined in on Dani's Crunch when I saw her comment on one of your posts. I guess it pays to "eavesdrop" on blogs! You were an inspiration to me, and I know you will be to everyone else that reads your testimony. Will be praying for you and all the other gals in our journey to healthy weight loss.
God bless you!

Your story is very inspiring. I understand about pictures. I didn't realize until I saw myself in pictures that I was really getting heavy. Now, I really do not want to go back to my old self. This blog will give me the accountability to keep me going. Thanks for posting.
