Springy Journal 4

First of all I will say that this week has not been the greatest for exercising. With company coming, I haven't been putting in the usual time toward exercise.

Thurs 2/04/10 50 minutes Full Circuit aerobics and weight training.
Fri 2/05/10 45 minutes Creative Aerobics My R knee is hurting some, so at the very end, I just did bouncing instead of jumping on the very last routine. Still, I am pretty proud of myself. This is a pretty challenging routine, and now it is not too difficult.
Sat 2/06/10 1 hour of snow shoveling. Lots of housecleaning for company coming.
Sun 2/07/10 No exercise.
Mon 2/08/10 Steve and I carried a desk, hide-a-bed couch, and chair up to the room where our guests are staying (on the 2nd floor). I was kind of feeling down that after the strength training I have been doing, it was still heavy for me. I did deep cleaning all day, scrubbing the shower tiles, vacuuming, etc. I didn’t get “formal” exercise in, but I’m going to count 30 minutes for the day, because the heavy lifting of the furniture alone took us 20 minutes.
Tues 2/09/10 We got up at 5:15 to get ready for Steve to go the airport to meet our guests. It was a really long day, and I’m still not willing to exercise in front of company, so after they went to bed, I got in only 20 minutes on the elliptical. I forced myself to get that done, as I was feeling so guilty all day long.
Wed 2/10/10 Yeah for my day out! We did quite a bit of walking indoors and out today with our errands. I’m going to count 1 hour. It’s still really cold here; I think it was about -25 F when we left the house this morning. Even with wearing tights, leggings, my skirt, 2 pr of socks, and boots, I still got cold. This evening after our guests went to bed, I got in 40 minutes on the elliptical. I am noticing, that although I’m still working up a sweat, I’m not getting out of breath like I was when I first started the crunch. Yeah! That must mean that I’m starting to get in shape!

I'm really hoping with the extra post and points for losses this week, that I'll have some good results to publish. If I'm going to do that though, I'll have to get more exercising in than I did this past week. Our company left a little bit ago to go to the orphanage to visit their little girl, so I need to get going to get my exercise done before I need to get things ready for dinner and 5 extra people for dinner this evening.

Keep up the great springing everyone! I am looking forward to real spring. This -30 F weather is getting a little old. At least when it is this cold, it rarely snows. So, while everyone in the US is digging out from their huge storm, we are just enduring the cold!
