First Joural Post
I am so glad to be back with you. I am sorry I didn't finish out the last challenge. God in his providence moved us back to the southwest mountain home. My husband's job was going to move us from the beautiful hill country north of San Antonio to Ft Wroth, Texas and at the last minute they moved us here. We didn't have inter net or phone for 3 weeks. We really miss our church family and have a very small church here that is quite liberal compared to the church we left and miss. We went back to San Antonio last weekend for vacation and were refreshed.
I usually do well loosing weight when I decide to do it on my own. I had planned to do the Liver Cleansing diet by Dr Sandra Cabot. A good friend recommended it to me and I started it on Tuesday, yesterday. What a blessing it is to do a 30 challenge with my 8 week liver cleanse. I had a pivotal birthday in November and am at 187.8#. I need to loose weight now before I begin having the bad medical problems associated with obesity. Thank you Dani Joy for not giving up on me.
My sweet daughter Gen is doing the challenge also. She is a great help and inspiration to me. I taught her sound nutrition and she kept with it while I reverted back to bad habits.
I woke up early with the strong winds banging things around outside. I went outside and decided to jump on the trampoline in the dark. I jumped for 1 hour! I had only jumped a little yesterday and the day before. I drank a qt of water with half a lemon in it and had a half of grapefruit for breakfast while making pancakes for the children. I was very hungry by lunch and had a salad and some salmon. For dinner I had a veggie soup with onion, garlic, broccoli and beats. I also drank a second quart of water with lemon. I can't have any cow milk, cheese, beef, or butter. The liver cleansing diet is easy at the beginning and end since you can have eggs and chicken. It 4 week middle phase is only fish, veggies, nuts, fruit. It is a little more complicated than that. I wasn't going to start this 8 week cleanse until February, but we don't have a source of Raw cow milk yet here and I decided to do it now. Yesterday was easy and today a bit harder. Please pray for me as I pray for you. I gave away the fudge with without milk and cheese I should do well.
1 pt exercise 1 hour
1 pt journal post
1 pt No sugar
1 pt fruit plate
1 pt for 2 qts water
5 points total for today
Thanks!

Hallelujah! Praise Jehovah! We are overwhelmed by God’s mercy!
I am attaching a note of thank to our church family. Yesterday there was a big wild fire that jumped from I 10 west to east I 10 in Boerne. The fire just missed our place by 8 feet. Please read the following. Thanks!
What a Father’s Day yesterday was! We enjoyed a good time of worship, preaching, testimonies, prayers, fellowship and good food at church. While fellowshipping afterward Mr. Horn who had left some minutes earlier returned and told us that the Seargeants’ had phoned him with the news that our RV was on fire! We jumped in our van and drove the 10 miles from church to the park. We were prevented by fire officials from entering the park. Breck and Vance were planning to go cross country to check the status of our RV, but diverted because we saw high flames billowing black smoke within the forests, and loud booms from exploding propane tanks.
We were told to move our car from the site and went down Highway 289 until we were told to move again down I 10. We are so thankful to the Ehlingers’, Shorts’, and Triebs’, who stuck with us, prayed and encouraged us in so many ways.
Breck along with Vance, Ryan Short and Von as well as David Triebs went by foot in separate groups to check the state of our RV, cars, tailor, RV park. Watching from a hill next to I-10 they could see that the grass fires had not reached our RV, but had managed to enter the park and burn trees and possibly other building and RVs. They saw pillars of black smoke wax and wane heralding the consumption of one RV after another, and possibly the central clubhouse and pavilion. We had left our cell phone in the RV and only Richard and Ryan had a phone. Richard managed our platoon of cars with children and wives keeping us from harm of the raging fires. Vance returned to us from the men. Richard and Vance made several attempts to get back to our RV and see the condition of the men. After several hours, he was able to retrieve all of the men and give them water. Vance brought Ryan his camera who verified that our RV and vehicles were all intact.
The Ehlingers graciously invited us to stay in their home until we can re enter the RV Park. We are so grateful to their hospitality and kindness. The Short’s took Breck, Vance and Genevieve back to RV not knowing if they could get into the park. They drove past the various sentries on roads into the area. It was like they just didn’t see them. They passed the road block and no sentry was on duty at the gate to the park. They drove in without any problem and went to our RV. All quickly helped them grab some essentials. A fire marshal showed up soon after and told them to leave immediately as the area was not secure, so they could not get much. Breck was able to get his car and drove down to the Ehlingers.
Breck said that form the look of the burnt land that the fire came across I 10 from the west and burnt a large hill across from our RV then traveled in a valley toward the park. Then, the fire went up the hill toward our RV when it hit a trail that Genevieve had made going to our gardens on the side of the hill. This was a well used trail by our children. The fire had also gone the other side around a large cabin near our RV, up the hill, devastating many RV, a large club house, large pavilion meeting house and the bathroom and laundry room.
We are very grateful for the Seargeants for telling you all to pray for us! We thank you for your prayers! We thank our Sovereign Lord and God who saved our belongings and for the Ehlingers’, Shorts’, and Triebs’, for their prayers and encouragement and help. God gave us the peace that passes all understanding and preserved us very well. We are so thankful for God sending us to BCA and giving us such godly and dear families in Christ!

Getting Serious
I have started an Arise and Shine 28 day colon cleanse to get started. My daughter Gen is doing it with me. We started at the beginning of the month, but took 4 days off since we stayed with some friends for 5 days. I only planned for 2 days. We had a great time, but the cleanse went aside. We restarted on Monday. There are 4 weeks to this cleanse with a week of cool down,
The cleanse uses herbs and bentonite clay with psyllium shakes to get rid of accumulated mucous plaque in your colon. You also take a pro-biotic before bedtime. I have done this twice in the past with good results, but never followed up on it with the week of cool down. After I wake up I take the shake, followed by herbs 1 1/2 hour later and continue this throughout the day. The first 3 weeks you eat meals instead of a shake-3 meals the first week, 2 the second, 1 the third. You do PH testing before starting the final week of fasting with fresh made juice. You can eat only raw fruit and veggies, a small amount of soaked nuts, no salt, sugar, grains, meat etc. The diet makes a good cleansing diet, but not good for long time eating.
We are doing week 2 and will start week 3 on Monday. We added some good apple, carrot, onion, spinach, celery and beet juice this morning which should help. I have some unflavored colloidal minerals on order which should help also. I feel great in the morning, but have periods of feeling nauseated and sick throughout the day. This is not a time for heavy exercise and will get back to strenuous exercise when I start the Maker's Diet.
This is a drastic step, but I have been so undisciplined with eating, that I needed a drastic step. The cleanse is so restrictive and I am committed to staying on it that it will be a good start to loosing my masses of weight. My plan is to do the cool down week eating salads and raw food and lacto-fermented green beans, okra, cabbage and beet Kvass. Then adding bone broths. After this week I plan to do the Maker's diet very strictly, phase 1 for 2 weeks, phase 2 for 2 weeks and phase 3 until I get down to at least 150# or maybe forever. I should be done with cleansing by the second week of July so I won't post any measurements until I have finished with a week or so of the Maker's Diet (book by Jordan Reuben following Biblical principles of eating).
Sorry this post is so long. I haven't posted in a while and needed to catch up.
Blessings,
Annie L

Tropical Traditions
I just wanted to share this link to you for Tropical Traditions. They have $5 off of shipping right now and coconut oil and palm shortening on sale. The palm shortening is not hydrogenated and a great substitute for that nasty partially hydrogenated soy shortening (Crisco). http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/blog_specials.htm
Trans fats or partially hydrogenated vegetable oils are very bad for your health making you more susceptible to heat disease, cancer, diabetes and more. They stay in for system a very long time.
Tropical Traditions is a Christian owned company and very good to deal with. I have used their coconut oil, palm shortening and red palm oil. All of these oils are good for weight loss. The coconut oil is especially good and there are some good book on this subject by Sally Fallon and Mary Inig. Mary Inig is a doctor who has done the research and lead the fight against hydrogenated vegetable oils and vegetable oils which are more harmful that butter, coconut oil and palm oil. She has a very interesting story of fighting the big bag companies that were poisoning us with their junk food.
I hope this is helpful to you. You ladies in Europe can probably find a better source near you. Tropical Tradition is in the unites states of America. Also, even if you don't order today, sign up for their email specials. They often have free shipping along with their sales.
Blessings,
Annie L

Forty, Fat and Female
I just thought I would share a simple fast and treatment for cleansing a tired gallbladder. When I worked as a critical care nurse many years ago, the doctors would say that the profile for a hot gallbladder was Forty, Fat and Female! Most of you do not fit that profile and I have known of 20 year old young men who needed to have their gallbladder surgically removed. The gall bladder is located on the right side of your abdomen attached to your liver. It produces bile, a thick, green fluid that aids in fat digestion. The gall bladder can produce green stones that interfere with normal function and cause blockages making it very sick.
There is a simple fast and treatment that you can do routinely to clean out the gallbladder. You need to plan 3 days. On the first 2 days you can only eat apples or pears or their juice. You can drink a lot of water and some herbal teas also. On the third day you need to do a juice fast-drinking only apple or pear juice plus water. Just before going to bed, prepare a mixture of 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1/2 cup olive oil. Drink this all at once. The taste is not pleasant and can be followed by 1/4 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice. Go to bed soon after drinking the lemon juice-olive oil mixture and sleep on your right side all night. You want the mixture to go into the gall bladder and dissolve some stones. In the morning you should get some nice fluorescent green kidney stones released. The 3 days is necessary to make sure your intestines are clean and the juice-oil mixture can get to the gallbladder.
My husband and I have done this every 10 years or so and have had great results.

Introduction
I am Anne and have done the last 3 challenges from Dani. I am blessed to be married for 22.5 years to a wonderful and godly husband and have 6 wonderful children. I am living in the hill country north of San Antonio and am a home educator. I have been blessed here with a good church and good like minded friends.
I have tried setting weight loss goals of 20# for the last challenges, but an going to a more reasonable goal of one pound per week. I got a nasty virus 3 weeks ago from my 5 year old daughter and was week and sick for several days. I lost a few pounds and am determined to loose more. I haven't exercised since then, but am going to resume walking at least 30 minutes with my daughter Genevieve. I am not doing this Spring in2 shape challenge to win points, but to make myself a more useful servant for my God and King as well as for my family. I am going to loosely follow The Maker's Diet and pray that God will help me with the rest. I am busy with home educating and ministering to family and brothers and sisters. Starting the day with exercise should help give me more energy.
I look forward to getting to know all of you. I tried changing my profile photo and have not been able to upload the new one. Blessings to all of you who are doing this challenge with me!

Tursting God to do great things
I am thankful for the extra point challenge this week and really feel that I haven’t been drinking much water. With this challenge, I got a half gallon mason jar and filled it with filtered water. I have been pouring this into my drinking glass and I only have one more cup to finish. I have gotten into a bad habit of getting a very strong cup of freshly ground and freshly brewed coffee in the morning and nursing it all morning long. This challenge has really put this important ingredient back into focus. Thanks Dani Joy.
Please welcome our new member, Mary Merritt. She should be posting soon. She is a godly older woman and good friend who could use our encouragement. Thanks!

Thanks for the encouraging extra points this week. I didn't see the point counter worksheet and got it from my daughter Gen this morning. Our friend Hannah just joined the blog and told Gen she exercises 90 minutes each day. This motivated Gen and I along with my oldest son to walk our normal 30 minute course twice. I was so tired after the second walk that I said I was done for the day, but after sitting here at the computer I may be able to do another 30 minutes later when it gets a little cooler. Thanks Hannah, Gen and Dani Joy for your encouragement!
